Fun Reading Day Dinner Party with Mainland, Taiwan, Macau and Local Students

This year “Fun Reading Day”, a book charity event has invited students from Taiwan, Foshan, Macau to Hong Kong. HKCIEA hosted a dinner party on 18th July 2019 to offer a cultural exchange opportunity for students from different regions. We had cultural performances, theme sharing with over 200 guests, teachers and students gathering together.

During the party, member of the legislative council Mr Holden Chow and Honorary President of HKCIEA Mr Wong Ting-kwong shared interesting stories about Hong Kong culture and traditions. Besides, Chairman of the organizing committee, Mr David Ho also shared his views on Taiwan.

Besides guests’ sharing, students from every region performed their talents on stage. 20 Taiwan students sang songs, Hong Kong students performed Chinese instruments, K-pop dance and band performance. We had a bingo game at the end of the party, giving out multiple presents to every student. All participants enjoyed a variety of cross-cultural performances and programs.

Guests attending the dinner party included Mr Keith Kam, Executive of Ming Pao Daily News, Mr Xiang Zun and Mr Leung Chun Kit, Vice Chairmen of the organizing committee of “Fun Reading Day”, Ms Yung Heung Hung, Secretary of HKFEW, Mr Tsang Hin Kong, Ms Poon Siu Lan, Mr Wu Ka Wai, Mr Lam Chun Hei from HKFEW, Mr Chan King, HKCIEA Vice President cum Honorary Secretary, Mr Tony Pang and Mr Andrew Chan, Vice Honoray Secretary and Mr Kenneth Li, Mr Michael Li, Ms Lilianna Au and Mr Karson Mak, Directors of HKCIEA.
